In 1988, the State Education Commission issued seven documents, including "some opinions on strengthening the work of laboratories and instruments and equipment in primary and secondary schools. All parts of the country have also comprehensively strengthened and accelerated laboratory construction and laboratory equipment.
Since 1981, Zhejiang Province has established rural junior high school experimental centers in stages and batches throughout the province; Sichuan Province has comprehensively carried out the pilot work of popularizing experimental teaching in primary and secondary schools.
