A Brief History of the Development of Educational Equipment in China
The First Stage of China's Educational Equipment Development-From Unified Purchase and Distribution to Diversified Equipment Development
In 1949, New China was founded. All industries, including education, are in a state of waste. The conditions for running primary and secondary schools are generally poor and weak, and there is a serious shortage of teaching instruments and educational equipment.
In order to meet the needs of speeding up the resumption of education and opening up full courses, the State Education Commission has gradually constructed and formed a national production and supply system of teaching instruments in a centralized way of "unified management, unified catalogue, unified equipment and unified allocation", which has initially solved the problem of shortage of educational equipment products and ensured the basic needs of the development of education:
In 1952, New China issued the general education teaching equipment catalog for the first time, which was used to guide the teaching equipment of primary and secondary schools across the country, and gradually expanded from general physical and chemical equipment to teaching equipment used by schools at all levels and types;
In 1964, the Ministry of Education established the Teaching Instrument Research Laboratory, which is responsible for the research and design of teaching instruments;
In 1980, with the reform and opening up and the development of the market economy, the Production and Supply Administration of the Ministry of Education organized the first National General Education Instrument Exhibition and Order Fair (the predecessor of the China Education Equipment Exhibition), which opened the supply and distribution of teaching instruments from completely planned adjustment. The transformation to play the role of the market has realized direct meeting between the supply and demand sides, and selected the best to promote the production of teaching instruments to better serve education and teaching;
In 1997, the General Office of the State Education Commission issued the "Ninth Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Teaching Instrument and Equipment Industry", which further clarified "adhere to the market-oriented" and "take the designated factory of teaching instrument production as the backbone and make overall planning";
In 2001, with the further deepening of the market economy, the designated factories of teaching instruments across the country completed their historical mission and gradually withdrew from the historical stage, and the supply and distribution of educational equipment entered the stage of government procurement under the public financial system.
