This is Xi Jinping's swearing in ceremony, and the sixth Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Cen Haohui, has been sworn in.
Macao, December 20th (Reporter Fu Zimei, Xu Jun) - The celebration of the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland and the inauguration ceremony of the sixth government of the Macao Special Administrative Region were held grandly at the East Asian Games Sports Center in Macao on the morning of December 20th. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended and delivered an important speech. (The full text of the speech can be found in the second edition) He pointed out that in the 25 years since Macao's return to the motherland, the "One Country, Two Systems" practice with Macao's characteristics has achieved great success, Macao has undergone earth shaking changes, and its international influence has greatly increased. He hopes that the new Macau Special Administrative Region government will unite and lead all sectors of society to seize opportunities, innovate, and take on responsibilities, better leverage the advantages of the "One Country, Two Systems" system, and continuously create a new situation for high-quality development of the "One Country, Two Systems" cause.
Inside the venue, the atmosphere was solemn and lively. On the podium, the national flag and emblem of the People's Republic of China, as well as the flag of the Macao Special Administrative Region, are particularly prominent.  
At 10am, the celebration and inauguration ceremony began. Everyone stands up and sings the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.
 Cen Haohui first took the oath of office. He faced the national flag, emblem, and flag of the People's Republic of China, raised his right hand, and solemnly swore in accordance with the provisions of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region.  
Subsequently, Xi Jinping took the oath and the main officials of the sixth government of the Macao Special Administrative Region were sworn in under the leadership of Cen Haohui. After taking the oath, Xi Jinping shook hands with them one by one to greet them.
Afterwards, Cen Haohui took the oath and was sworn in as a member of the Executive Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region.
Amidst warm applause, Xi Jinping delivered an important speech. He first extended sincere greetings to all residents of Macau on behalf of the central government and the people of all ethnic groups in the country; Warm congratulations to Mr. Cen Ho Fai, the newly appointed sixth Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, and the key officials and members of the Executive Council of the sixth government; Sincere thanks to our compatriots and international friends at home and abroad who have long cared for and supported the cause of "One Country, Two Systems" and the prosperous and stable development of Macau.
Xi Jinping pointed out that in the 25 years since Macao's return to the motherland, the "One Country, Two Systems" system has been continuously improved, and national sovereignty, security, and development interests have been effectively safeguarded; The economic and social development has achieved a historic leap, greatly enhancing residents' sense of gain, happiness, and security; External cooperation continues to expand, and the role of "one center, one platform, one base" is increasingly evident.
 The values of peace, inclusiveness, openness, and sharing embodied in the "One Country, Two Systems" policy belong to China and the world, and are worthy of joint protection.
 Always uphold national sovereignty, security, and development interests above all else, implement the comprehensive governance power of the central government, and never waver at any time. At the same time, we respect the differences between the "two systems", fully safeguard the high degree of autonomy of the Special Administrative Region, continue to comprehensively, accurately, and unwaveringly implement the principles of "one country, two systems", "Hong Kong people governing Hong Kong", "Macao people governing Macao", and high degree of autonomy, ensuring that they will not change or waver, and will not deviate or deform. Secondly, we must maintain high-level security and promote high-quality development. Security is the prerequisite for development, and development is the guarantee of security. Maintaining security and promoting development must be unwavering. We should cherish the current hard won stable and peaceful situation, concentrate on economic development, construction, and continuously shape new driving forces and advantages. We must leverage our unique advantages and strengthen internal and external communication. With a more open and inclusive attitude, we will extensively expand international connections, enhance global influence and attractiveness. Deeply aligning with national development strategies, accelerating integration into the overall national development situation, and better playing a bridging role in building a new development pattern. We must promote core values and foster inclusivity and harmony. Inheriting the core values of patriotism, love for Hong Kong, love for Australia, enhancing cultural exchange and integration, consolidating all positive forces, and drawing the largest concentric circle of support for the "One Country, Two Systems" cause both domestically and internationally.

Xi Jinping stated that youth are the hope and future of Macau, and a vital force in building Macau and the country. I hope that the vast number of young people will have a heart for Macau and the country, with lofty aspirations and down-to-earth actions, and become good builders and successors of the "One Country, Two Systems" cause, allowing their youth to shine in the vast world of building a strong motherland and a beautiful Macau.
Xi Jinping pointed out that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has made systematic arrangements for further deepening reform and promoting Chinese style modernization. The construction of a strong country has already begun a magnificent picture and presented an incredibly bright future. The Chinese nation is moving towards great rejuvenation with unstoppable steps. As long as the principle of "one country, two systems" is fully, accurately and unswervingly implemented, the SAR government and all sectors of society work together, and the great motherland is a strong backing, Macao will certainly open up a new world of development, continue to create new glories, and will certainly make greater contributions to comprehensively promoting the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation with Chinese path to modernization.
Cen Haohui said in his speech that as the sixth Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, I deeply feel the great responsibility and glorious mission. We will adhere to the governance philosophy of "striving for progress and promoting positive innovation", work together to uphold the principle of "one country, two systems", comprehensively, accurately, and unwaveringly implement it, firmly uphold the constitutional order of the Special Administrative Region established by the Constitution and the Basic Law, firmly safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, firmly implement the principle of "patriots governing Macau", and continuously create a new situation of "one country, two systems" practice with Macau characteristics. We believe that with the strong backing of the great motherland and the solidarity and struggle of all Macao citizens, we have the confidence and ability to make Macao, the "apple of our eye" of the country, more brilliant, and better play and make greater contributions to comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization.
